So, what does Lugo mean?

Nothing, really. I’m a bit of a nerd when it comes to type – and proud of it! I especially like the lowercase g. It has the potential to vary in style across many typefaces. Because of this, I decided my company’s name must include a g. I also wanted the versatility of a four-letter word. And, of course, my dog’s name had some influence.

That's how I got Lugo. Like logo but cuter.

Jenni Caughy

Creative Problem Solver & Brand Strategist

I graduated from University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2008 – a month after I was hired as a designer at Door No. 3 Design. Shout-out to Stephanie for the opportunity, which turned into a 16-year partnership at kicking some design ass. It was an invaluable learning experience and resulted in some of the best client relationships. In 2024, I was given another opportunity – to venture out on my own with our clients. And I took it.

Owning a small business is not something I ever expected to do. But, I’m finding that it’s good to take risks and challenge yourself to see what you’re really made of and to be able to grow as a professional and an individual.

Ludwig

Progress Support Poodle

Ludwig is here to make sure I take breaks throughout the day to pet him, take walks, and eat lots of snacks – keeping the creativity flowin’.

Lu answers to over 10 different names. He loves whipped cream, but is unfortunately lactose intolerant. He’s been known to walk into a door frame or two. He spends most of his time sleeping, laying and sitting – unless someone just walked in the door or there’s a pair of socks to steal.

He is the goodest boy.
